Joseph Verdirame

Joseph Verdirame

Joseph Verdirame is a seasoned and successful entrepreneur who helped formulate the business plan, operational procedures and growth strategy for The ICU.

In 2012, Joseph founded Vourno, a crowdfunding platform and independent news network for video journalism. Joseph is responsible for all aspects of starting the company, including drafting and testing platform's architecture, creating site text, developing business plan and marketing materials, building financial model, establishing corporate structure and exploring fund raising opportunities.

In 2002, Joseph founded JNV Advisors, a company that specializes in the acquisition, management and turn-around of businesses in the entertainment, retail, real estate and wholesale distribution sectors. Joseph is responsible for identifying and valuing business opportunities, acquiring distressed assets and restructuring and operating those acquired assets profitably. Joseph also provides strategic consulting services for companies ranging in size from start-ups to large private corporations.

From 1995 to 2002, Joseph spent 7 years as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.  During his tenure he worked both domestically and internationally in various product and industry groups, including Acquisition Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Syndicated Finance, Media & Telecom and Healthcare.  Joseph assisted in the origination, underwriting and syndication of multi-million dollar bank loans, played a leading role in execution of complex M&A transactions including strategic, tactical, and valuation-related advisory services and led and participated in various international transactions, including analysis of refinancing and restructuring of debt obligations, during residences in Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia and Thailand. 

Joseph graduated from Emory University where the he received a B.B.A. with a concentration in Finance and served as President of the Goizueta Business School.
